Job Title: Assistant Principal Technology Curriculum Development
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: From £81,000 (Dependent on experience)
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: Cross College
Cardiff and Vale College are looking for an Assistant Principal to lead the development and implementation of an innovative technology curriculum at Cardiff and Vale College, with a specific focus on the College’s new Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) campus development in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The post holder will be responsible for designing a curriculum that meets the needs of employers and local communities and underpins the ATC’s goal of preparing both young learners and existing adult workers for the evolving world of work, focusing on key growth areas such as composites, rapid prototyping, advanced design, electronics, artificial intelligence and net-zero renewable technologies.
The role provides an excellent development opportunity for education leaders looking to progress to an executive level role in a large, innovative organisation.
Applications are also encouraged from individuals currently working in the engineering/technology sectors considering a career change into education and training.
You will have extensive professional experience in the engineering and/or advanced manufacturing sectors and excellent knowledge and successful track record of developing new provision and option choices, and experience of leading complex projects.
The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh would be advantageous but not essential for the role.
