One of Scotland’s most reputable architectural practices based in Glasgow is currently seeking an Experienced Architectural Technologist with over 5 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial office fit-out projects and proficiency in Revit, alongside a solid understanding of technical detailing and UK building regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on production of technical packages for commercial office fit-out projects.
- Developing and producing detailed design drawings, specifications, and schedules using Revit.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure designs are successfully implemented.
- Working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to maintain design intent throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing project documentation, including drawing packs and construction information.
- Conducting site visits to resolve any technical issues and ensure quality control.
- Coordinating with project teams to ensure technical compliance with all building regulations and standards.
- Assisting with presentations, reports, and tender documents.
Skills & Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a strong portfolio of commercial office fit-out projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit is essential.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and technical standards.
- Expertise in creating high-quality, detailed design solutions for commercial interiors.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications:
- A degree or HNC in Architectural Technology or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience with other design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or BIM tools is a bonus.
