Role
They are seeking a talented and passionate Design Architect to join our their business in what is appointment for the business not only in the short term, but also as they look to the future partnership of the practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong design ethos, technical expertise, and the ability to lead projects from concept through to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, contributing to the creative direction of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process from initial concept through to detailed design and project delivery
  • Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Oversee project teams and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Produce high-quality design presentations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software
  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies, integrating them into your work
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning policies, and industry standards

Key Requirements

  • Qualified architect with a degree in Architecture (ARB/RIBA accreditation preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a design-focused role
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design work across various project types and scales
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team environment
  • A passion for sustainable and innovative design
  • Strong knowledge of Scottish building regulations and planning processes
