Accounts Payable / Receivable Clerk

Morgan Hunt are working with a well-established organisation based in Enfield who are looking at recruiting an Accounts Payable / Receivable Clerk. This is a permanent role paying up to £30,000. This role will be fully office based.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable / Receivable Clerk:

  • Accurately update and input financial data into company systems.
  • Maintain subcontractor financial records in compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Process and reconcile invoices, supplier payments, and employee expenses.
  • Perform basic reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle finance-related queries from internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in compiling financial reports for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Provide administrative support for vehicle subscriptions, fleet costs, and financial documentation.
  • Support front-office duties, including handling calls, emails, and greeting visitors.

Previous Skills and Experience of the Accounts Payable / Receivable Clerk:

  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within deadlines in a structured and organised manner.
  • Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • GCSEs (Maths and English) grade B or above required.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or other finance systems (desirable).
