Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for BIMM University who require a Technology Operations Infrastructure Manager on a permanent basis.

The role of Technology Operations Infrastructure Manager will be central to the successful management of BIMM Universities operational technology infrastructure. The role will be responsible for the general health, pro-active and reactive support, including operational system changes and improvements

Role Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day pro-active health monitoring of all areas of the technology infrastructure across the whole University
• Act as a point of escalation for the Technology Operations Support Manager.
• Work with the Head of Technology Operations to deliver all infrastructure changes and upgrades
• Support the Head of Technology Operations with infrastructure observations, advice, and technical expertise
• Own the daily core system backup checks to ensure health and data integrity
• Work closely with the other technology operation managers, providing a robust support mechanism

Role Requirements

• A proven ability to work in a highly pressurized environment
• Strong knowledge of managing technical support to large and complex, international, multi-site infrastructures
• A strong understanding of Microsoft, VMWare, backup, and Cloud technologies.
• A strong understanding of networks, including firewall and switch management.
• A strong understanding of system backups and disaster recovery concepts and live processes.
• A good understanding of cyber security best practice and AV suite management.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of working within education, ideally the creative arts sector.
• Experience working on Office365 tenant migrations
• Experience working on Azure cloud migrations

• Hybrid Working- 2 days in office per week
• You will be required to contribute to a weekly rota of on-call responsibilities. You will occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends, including a minimum of 4 open days / events per year.
• £39,000- £50,440 per year
