Housing Support Worker – Southend

We are seeking a Housing Support Worker to provide tenancy-related support, helping clients access independent accommodation in the private rented sector.

• Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM.
• Duration: Temporary (2-3 months).
• Pay: £13.50+ per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 25-30 clients, supporting their move to independent housing.
• Conduct assessments and co-produce Housing Plans with clear goals.
• Assist with referrals and provide guidance on housing/welfare legislation.
• Source and ensure compliance of private rented accommodation.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of housing and welfare legislation.
• Experience in tenancy support and engaging with landlords/agents.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
