Policy & Public Affairs Assistant
Morgan Hunt is partnered with a children’s charity as they look to add to their growing Policy team in Wales. This is a permanent part time position. As a Policy and Public Affairs Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in shaping their policy work in Wales. You’ll provide administrative support to the team, conduct research, analyse policy, and engage with key stakeholders, including Welsh Government and Senedd members. Your work will directly contribute to influencing public policy and legislation to better protect children.
Contract: Permanent – Part time (17.5 Hours)
Salary: £21,840 Pro-Rata
Location: Cardiff, Wales
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide efficient administrative support, including travel booking, finance, and recruitment.
· Organise meetings and events, both internal and external.
· Research and analyse policy, summarising key documents and parliamentary debates.
· Draft responses to government consultations and policy briefings.
· Support influencing campaigns and stakeholder communication.
· Monitor parliamentary activity and stay up-to-date on child protection issues.
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
· Strong research and analytic abilities.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
· Knowledge of the Welsh political landscape and child protection issues is desirable.
