Residential Property Conveyancing Compliance Officer

A High St firm that has over 500 staff is looking for a Residential Property Conveyancing Compliance Officer to join their governance team.

The role

As Residential Property Conveyancing Compliance Officer working remotely, your responsibilities would include:

  • To undertake audits of client files, working to audit and compliance specifications through our Audit Framework.
  • To analyse audit data and prepare written reports on the audit findings including compliance breaches.
  • Provide feedback to the Management Team, Managers and staff on audit and compliance findings.
  • To support the Management Team and Senior Staff with embedding compliance and quality processes, including audit activity and compliance monitoring across the branch offices particularly.
  • To be responsible for collating, maintaining and reporting on data from identified areas of practice.
  • To work closely with Managers to ensure that, where appropriate, findings from the audit process are reflected in performance management activities including training needs analysis and personal development plans.
  • Ensure managers are kept up to date with any changes in SRA, CQS, ICO, GDPR and all other compliance standards.

The Person

To qualify for Residential Property Conveyancing Compliance Officer you will need the following experience:

  • Ideally suit a residential property conveyancer who no longer wants to fee earn
  • Compliance checks for conveyancers
  • Stakeholder management
  • Upskilling and training
