We have a current opportunity for a Change Manager on a permanent basis with our public sector client in Glasgow. The role is a strategically focused senior change professional responsible for the successful implementation of the organisation’s transformation programs across different area’s of the organisation. Collaborating with senior leaders and directly engaging with staff across all levels in their assigned area, the successful candidate will ensure the integration of successful and enduring change.

  • Work Type: Hybrid of 1 or 2 days a week in the office

Key duties include;

  • Work in partnership with the College Change Teams(s), directly implementing the Transformation portfolio of change. Acting in a leading capacity to build capability in change across all Schools within the College and ensuring an effective interface between all Schools and College staff and the Transformation Team.
  • Establish and chair the College Business Change Steering Group, creating standard process to govern and prioritise change.
  • Provide matrix line management for Transformation Administrator resources (or relevant SMEs) to develop high-performance capability to enable and prepare for effective implementation of the transformational change programmes in the department
  • Provide matrix line management and development support to local change resources, aligning roles, responsibilities, and ways of working to manage department plan’s
  • Acts as the primary escalation point for all department issues across the portfolio of change, ensuring that risks and issues for the department are pro-actively managed across all projects.
  • Core component of the community of Change Manager’s who will act as ambassadors of change across the institution
  • Lead the readiness of the department to implement transformational change encompassing planning, engagement, and effective communications through to delivery related transformation programme activities/resources as required.
  • Accountable for ensuring the successful implementation of transformational change achieves the intended outcomes and can demonstrate the change has embedded to realise the expected benefits.

Skills/Experience Required;

  • Experience of working proactively in partnership with senior leaders and managers at a senior level to deliver transformational change in large complex organisations.
  • Experience of advising senior leaders on complex business change, risks, issues, and priorities
  • Experience of building capability of others on change management practice at multiple levels.
  • Considerable experience in successfully utilising multiple improvement or design methodologies in a variety of settings.
  • Considerable experience of task managing a diverse pool of resources from within a matrix organisation.
  • Experience of overseeing the management and successful delivery of complex business change programmes or projects
  • Broad experience using Lean/other methodology in the delivery of significant benefits to the business through process improvement/change management programmes.
  • Highly developed knowledge and understanding of change and/or change management theory and practice as well as considerable evidence of effective and sustained change delivery.
