Lead Our People Strategy as People Director at Elizabeth Finn Homes

Position: People Director
Location: Hybrid – Travelling to 8 homes across England, predominantly home working with head office in London
Salary: £80,000 – £85,000 + up to 20% bonus + £6k car allowance or company car
Contract: Permanent, full-time

Elizabeth Finn Homes is a well-established provider of high-quality care, operating 8 care homes across England. We are searching for an experienced People Director to join our executive team, driving our people strategy and supporting our mission to deliver excellent care.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior HR professional to work in a socially driven organisation playing a key role in shaping the workforce that ensures top-level care.

About the Role:
As People Director, you’ll report to the CEO and take responsibility for leading the HR function across multiple sites. You will develop and deliver the people strategy, ensuring it aligns with our values and strategic objectives. You will play a crucial role in championing a culture of inclusivity, employee engagement, and wellbeing, while overseeing recruitment, talent development and HR operations.
This role offers the opportunity to work flexibly, combining home working with regular travel to our care homes and London office.

About You
We’re looking for a forward-thinking, compassionate leader who can bring strategic HR experience and a passion for people development. You will have proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally in a healthcare, social care or regulated environment. Key attributes include:

  • Proven experience as a People Director, HR Director, or equivalent senior role in a multi-site organisation
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, talent management, and employee engagement
  • Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, care services) is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change, managing complex organisational dynamics
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and care sector regulations
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Empathy, integrity, and a commitment to fostering a positive working culture
  • A passion for making a meaningful impact in the care sector
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or CIPD qualification preferred)

Key Benefits:

  • Salary: £80,000 – £85,000
  • Bonus: Up to 20% non-contractual performance-based bonus
  • Car Allowance: £6,000 or company car
