The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic professional with a proven track record of success and a genuine desire to play a pivotal role in the strategic development of the College’s Supported Learning  provision. You will plan, lead and develop an appropriate curriculum for learners across college campuses. The successful candidate will also formulate and execute a clear strategic approach working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

New City College are one of the largest post-16 High Needs providers in the UK. The College currently has 900 learners who are high needs, as well as over 2000 learners who access a range of support including medical care, personal care, learning support, Exam Access Arrangements and Transition to College support.

Key Responsibilities:

You will plan, lead and develop an appropriate curriculum for learners across college campuses. The successful candidate will also formulate and execute a clear strategic approach working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

The role has financial oversight and quality oversight of all learning support across NCC, ensuring consistency and working with cross college teams to ensure financial and qualitative success.  Your will be responsible for the responsible for circa £20m and several funding streams of College funding for New City College – both High Needs Funding and AEB ALS. In addition this role has the curriculum responsibility to ensure learners with Disabilities, learning difficulties and medical needs are met and barriers to learning are removed.

You will also manage a large and diverse team across multiple campuses. There are a variety of job roles and multi sensory teams, LSAs and independent study Learning Zones to manage.

Who You Are:

You will have experience managing large ALS provision in the FE sector. As well as have the ability to manage staff performance and coach individuals to reach their full potential, a relevant degree or equivalent qualification. You will be teacher-trained and have both management and teaching experience.
