Housing Support Worker Needed!

  • Rate of Pay: £15.15ph PAYE, £19.79ph Umbrella
  • Location: Richmond
  • Nearest Train Station: Richmond Overground Station
  • Timing: Monday-Friday 9-5
  • Contract: 2-3 Months initially (likely extension and potential permanent contract)

Purpose of the service:

Work in a accommodation based service for 11 ex-offenders, the service focuses on increasing their independence during their up to 2 and a half year stay. Service users are solely low – medium level risk, all of which are thoroughly risk assessed and interviewed upon referral

Key Duties:

  • Support clients in adhering to HDC/Bail conditions.
  • Oversee a case load of 6-7 clients, directly working with each client through 1-1 support sessions, helping them with their allowance, budgets, making payments, independent living skills, managing meetings with their probation officer, making sure they attend their MAPA meetings when necessary
  • Develop realistic, person-centred Support Plans.
  • Provide weekly support to help residents achieve their goals.
  • Assist residents with Housing Benefit applications to avoid rent arrears.
  • Manage properties to maintain Decent Homes Standards.
  • Complete referrals to specialist support agencies as needed.

Expectations:

  • Ability to create person-centred support plans.
  • Understanding of safeguarding.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs.
  • Enhanced DBS Required
