About the role:

West London College seeks an experienced, self-motivated Maintenance Officer to support its friendly Estates Department. Reporting to the Estate Manager, the post holder will ensure exceptional estates and facilities service across our College campuses. As a maintenance officer, you will undertake general maintenance duties, classroom setups and receiving deliveries of equipment/materials. In addition, you will conduct periodic checks on all college accommodations and grounds, including toilets and other communal areas, ensuring that all facilities are in sound and safe operating conditions in line with college standards. Driving duties across our college campuses will also be required. The successful candidates will have experience working in a similar role. A friendly and approachable nature is essential as you will work alongside a wide range of people at all levels and possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.

You will have:

  • Experience working in a team and within an estates/facilities department.
  • Experience in using general tools and equipment
  • Awareness of Building, Fire Safety, Disability, Asbestos and H&S legislation
  • A Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience in working to deadlines, managing and prioritising time effectively to ensure an excellent service is delivered
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and incidents
