The role and our ideal candidate
This is a superb opportunity to make a real difference to the success of a £110m organisation. A self-motivated and versatile leader with vast experience and success in project management, you will develop, manage and lead on varied strategic projects and organisational business improvement. You will also lead and champion the college’s sustainability objectives and environmental strategy. You will be supported by the senior team to succeed in this important role, in which you will lead an established team of project managers, business analysts and administrators.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent. With relevant professional qualifications and extensive experience on project and team leadership. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential. Experience of change management is beneficial.
This is a fixed term maternity cover opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership of the college’s environmental strategy.
Leadership of business improvement projects.
Lead role in strategic project management to support the college’s priority objectives.
Oversight of major sustainability projects – particularly the £3.9m Epping campus decarbonisation project and its reporting to the funder.
Submission of capital funding applications.
Chair of cross-college strategic groups.
Representation of New City College externally, as required.
