About the role:
The role of Personal Development Co-ordinator is a new position within the Student Support Services team. In this role, you would be responsible for both the creation and the delivery of a new exciting and engaging programme focussing on the personal development of activities and events. This role is tailored for the College learners to enhance their experience during their college learning.

As a Personal Development Co-ordinator some of your key duties will include the creation of a programme focusing on personal development activities. This programme will be available to all learners and will enable you to work with the learners gaining an understanding of key topics and themes. Your duties will include organising, coordinating and delivering events which will develop the personal and life skills of the students, including learning, wellbeing and health opportunities.

Part of the role will allow you to build effective partnerships and external organisations who will provide guest speaker delivery and lead on the learner voice activity

Person Specification:
In this role ideally, experience within an educational environment setting would be preferred, ideally within the Further Education/Post – 16 environment, but this is not essential. You will be working as a team with the responsibility of organising, co-ordinating, promoting and delivering on the events to help deliver essential life and personal skills of the learners.

You will hold minimum qualifications in English and Maths at level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent, and a Level 2 qualification in Guidance/counselling or similar (preferred not required). You also need to demonstrate a good standard of customer service skills with the ability to work with respect and confidentiality.

Departmental Information:
The role of the Personal Development Co-ordinator will be working with a team based on site, you will work with colleagues in similar positions across other campuses to enable a consistent approach to events, delivery and offerings. You will report to the Student Support Team Leader and work collaboratively with the Student Support Team onsite. You will also be expected to liaise with curriculum managers and tutors ensuring learners have access to appropriate personal development opportunities individually tailored.
