We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager for our public sector client. This is a large business critical Transformation Project that will improve their processes across the organisation.
The role is based in Edinburgh and they would work on a hybrid basis of on site and home working in order to hold face to face meetings with internal stakeholders.
Please note – this is not an IT role and is more tailored to Change, Process and Transformation.
- Salary: £48-59k DOE – 2 Year Fixed-term

Duties Include;
- Mobilise and execute the project and programme management process, documentation, technology and relevant infrastructure required to enable the successful delivery of the Programme. Work with the Lead to ensure that the programme governance can make effective decisions at each phase of the programme
- Technical leadership of the programme management approach, providing individual projects, project plans, work-packages, activities, with the technical tools, templates and change management methodologies to successfully execute delivery; and the tools, standards and processes to deliver a robust approach to benefits management across the Programme as a whole and at individual programme/project level
- Provide regular, standardised and accurate programme/project monitoring and reporting across the Programme, while delivering an overview of the planning, reporting and management information function for all relevant organisation policy and practice groups, including engaging directly with Senior Management to report on progress. This includes working closely with the Programme Lead and Senior Responsible Owners to monitor cost/benefit/delivery, and act to support the development of the business case and subsequent monitoring and adjustment
- Engaging directly with key stakeholders, and the team, to understand research support services (current and future) and to effectively negotiate, persuade and motivate the extended programme team, stakeholders and senior management, providing justifiable proposals and recommendations and clearly outlined courses of action to follow
Skills/Knowledge Required;
- Extensive experience in a PM role
- Knowledge in Change/Transformation Programmes
- Process Improvement experience
- Target Operating Model (TOM) experience
- Experience of staff management
