Games Design Tutor

I am working with a well-established creative industry training provider who are looking for a dedicated, talented and engaging Games Design Lecturer, who can deliver the UAL Level 3 course on either a full time or part time basis (3 days or 5 days per week – both permanent)

Desirable Qualities / Skills:

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop/After Effects/Premiere – modelling, concept art/textures
  • Experience of working professionally in a relevant creative industry/as an entrepreneur
  • Experience with Autodesk Maya/Blender – animating, skinning, rigging, texturing, 3D modelling
  • Experience with Unity/Unreal Engine – animation-to-engine pipelines
  • Drawing and art skills

Key Tasks:

  • Plan and deliver exciting lessons supporting learner progression, that relate to their needs and interests
  • Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding (CPOMS)
  • Record attendance and academic notes on Arbor MIS
  • Track learner progression on the allocated Google Sheets
  • Develop innovative opportunities for interdepartmental and intradepartmental project collaborations
  • Use a range of assessment methods and provide outstanding and prompt feedback to inspire learners
  • Complete learner one-to-one tutorials and individual learning plans on a bi-termly basis
  • Facilitate the wide-range of enrichment trips and guest speaker events arranged across the year
  • Work towards a stable learner retention and qualification achievement rate
  • Undertake in-house training to remain up-to-date with awarding body expectations
  • Support learners to prepare for their assessed end-of-year project

35 hours across 5 days a week for 52 weeks per year

35 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
