An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Engineering Department for an experienced, highly motivated, and skilled Programme Area Manager.
Applicants are invited from an educational department and course management background within Further Education.
Applicants would ideally be able to deliver on Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications, but applicants from other subject STEM areas with digital and math knowledge would be considered.
The successful applicant will manage programmes across a range of full-time, part-time, higher education and commercial for students, typically studying at levels 1 to 3, and levels 4 to 5.
We are looking for an individual with strong digital skills, analytical critical thinking skills, and the ability to deliver rapid curriculum change and help drive quality improvements alongside growth.
The Programme Area Manager (PAM) role will include working closely with the Director of Curriculum, the other Programme Area Managers and the wider department teaching team. The PAM will manage, plan and monitor programmes, to maximise resources, funding and learner outcomes, while driving growth in all our programmes including, HE and commercial training.
The PAM will be responsible for programmes of learning and training, ensuring learner progress is tracked and maintained on College IT systems, retention/achievement levels are maintained and improved in line with college targets. As part of continuous improvement, the PAM will develop and implement systems/processes and other improvements to support the management of learning.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of managing and delivering high quality teaching and learning within the FE sector, along with experience of developing course provision, knowledge of IV processes are essential, together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators.
