Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Maths Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of mathematical topics, ensuring that students receive the support and guidance necessary to excel academically. This role involves creating and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the academic development of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching in various mathematical areas, ensuring content is both accessible and challenging for all students
  • Develop, update, and implement course materials in line with current curriculum and academic standards
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive, timely feedback to facilitate their academic growth
  • Support students in their learning journey, offering academic guidance and promoting student engagement
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum through collaborative work with colleagues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of mathematics education

Key Requirements

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or a commitment to obtaining one
  • Proven experience in teaching mathematics at a post-secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge across a wide range of mathematical topics
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for teaching and supporting students in their academic journey

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in teaching mathematics at different levels (e.g., A-level, foundation, higher education)
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and teaching methodologies
  • Experience with curriculum development and academic assessment practices
