Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in chemistry, covering theoretical concepts and practical experiments.

- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote development and academic success.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content aligns with academic standards and industry trends.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Organise and oversee practical laboratory sessions, ensuring safety and high standards of student performance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues to share teaching resources and improve practices.
- Support and guide students in their independent research, projects, and coursework.
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching chemistry at GCSE, A-Level, or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the chemistry curriculum and practical laboratory techniques.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students to explore the world of science.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience teaching chemistry in a further education or higher education setting.
- Familiarity with current developments in the chemistry field and the ability to incorporate these into lessons.
- Experience with laboratory management and safety protocols.
- Ability to teach other scientific subjects or offer interdisciplinary support.
- Knowledge of supporting students with diverse learning needs.
