About the Role:

We are seeking passionate and experienced Early Years Lecturers to join various Further Education and Training Colleges across London and the surrounding areas. If you are enthusiastic about shaping the next generation of Early Years professionals and have a strong background in early childhood education, we want to hear from you.

As an Early Years Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills needed for careers in early years education and care. You will contribute to curriculum development, deliver engaging lessons, and support students in achieving their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons on a range of Early Years topics, including child development, safeguarding, and curriculum planning.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work, including assignments, projects, and practical activities.
  • Offer academic guidance and pastoral care, supporting students throughout their learning journey.
  • Contribute to curriculum development to maintain high teaching and learning standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant degree or qualification in Early Years Education or a related subject.
  • A recognised UK teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching Early Years Education at Further Education level.
  • Background in the Early Years sector with strong knowledge of child development and safeguarding.
  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (mandatory requirement).

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in early years settings.
  • Awareness of current developments and best practices in Early Years education.
  • Ability to engage and support students with varying learning needs.
  • Willingness to travel within London and surrounding areas.
