Gambling Practitioner

We are recruiting for a Gambling Practitioner on a temp to perm basis to conduct Group Awareness sessions across the East and West Midlands.

Job Title: Gambling Practitioner

Location: Birmingham with travel across the East & West Midlands

Hours: 37 per week Monday – Friday

Hourly rate: £14 – £15 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

· Utilising your skill set and experience in public speaking, presenting, and facilitating, deliver interactive and engaging sessions to young people, professionals, and parents/carers to engage them and raise awareness of gambling-related harm experienced by young people.

· Ensuring the relevant monitoring and evaluation forms are provided and encouraging the completion of pre and post activity surveys to ensure the programme can evidence outcomes.

· Build and maintain effective working relationship with your colleagues in the youth programme, our partner networks, and across different organisations to ensure a team culture of collaboration and ongoing improvement.

· Share best practice and build a positive team environment, ensuring our stakeholders have a memorable experience, and we deliver the best possible programme.

· To advocate for wider treatment options and additional interventions required.

Delivery of training and workshops:

· Experience of delivering training products tailored to a specific audience and/or delivering interactive, engaging activities to young people either in small groups, classrooms, or large assemblies.

· Excellent public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills

· Ability to promote and market a service or programme and engage specific audiences to secure an uptake of programme provision to meet agreed targets.

· Experience of maintaining ongoing relationships with stakeholders through accurate and timely record keeping, identifying and securing future opportunities, and promoting other programmes or service provisions

· Experience of working collaboratively within a team environment where sharing best practice and continuous improvement was key to success.

· Ability to develop expertise in a subject and champion the work of a programme or service and representing the values of an organisation at front line level.

· Experience of juggling multiple priorities and problem-solving either independently or together with colleagues
